So...woke up and had a panic attack memory about the heat dome a few years ago

And I was starving and alone those days just trying to sleep through the heat
See, it doesn't really come through writing it - to understand you'd have to hear me explain it (but I'm at the library and can't do the stream out loud)
Well, after getting tearful all morning and freaking out about feeling like a capitalist government experiment, I got a shower and talked to someone at the day shelter. There is no way for them to process what I have to say or have a reaction that would be in proportion to the situation, but they're good at being encouraging.
It's strange to live in a time where everything will tell you we live under a fascist authoritarian monstrosity but on a day-to-day basis all you can do is "self-care"...
