Cramps

America's responsibility? The artsy ways I have yelled at the gov'ment has not stopped a single thing - they don't listen to me. Or, they don't do what I want them to do, anyway.

Universal human rights or everything is bullshit - that meant stop genocide. That meant housing, healthcare, education, food, clothes, internet, cannabis medicine, bodily and psychological agency, freedom to live YOUR life YOUR way.

Nahhhh - can we make something new up and follow that?

Nuclear umbrella

Nothing feels real, in part, because we are different timelines co-existing, crisscrossing, colliding and exploding or just barely missing each other.

"I can be more comfortable than you" is the weirdest flex ever, bro

I shouldn't feel all this interfering energy - keep your vibes to yourself

Vibez is still a cool name

Can we not sound like old horror movies, please?

I WOULD NEVER CHOOSE THIS

WE HAVE THE SAME SNEAKERS - mine say flyknit and those look like they're a different material but still...

Calling everyone cattle is Hasan's favorite new thing.

War

Anxious how this could escalate depending on what the agenda is...

EXCUSE ME. NO.

NO DRAFT. NEVER AGAIN. BULLSHIT. NEVER.

 That's fucked too.

feel betrayed just having it suggested

I also have to pee but I'm trying to wait

jokes about how people look never felt right ever with this guy - just feels like we have way more legit issues and might as well talk about those

everyone is stupid - smart people can just admit it

I feel better now that I've eaten like five 10g protein bars today

Might try to get vegetarian chicken for dinner.

Salad?

I still have sandwich bread.

Their cheese is a bit pricy - but ooooh lavender goat cheese.

And I will have spent all my stamps in the first week

Hasan is always handsome

because he has a soul

wonder if somewhere in saudia arabia someone was like HEY I don't agree with that

that's fucked

saying a place will NEVER be a country - might as well be saying "fight us bro"

the right to be a country

I care.

Human rights isn't imperialism

Socialism and communism are both left-wing ideologies aimed at reducing inequality by managing the means of production, but they differ significantly in application
Socialism allows for personal property, democratic processes, and partial market economies, whereas Communism aims for a stateless, classless society with total collective ownership, often implemented via authoritarian, single-party states.
Key Differences
  • Ownership & Property: Socialism allows individuals to own personal property, but major industries are collectively owned. Communism eliminates nearly all private property, with the state controlling all economic resources.
  • Method of Implementation:
Socialism generally seeks reform through existing democratic processes
. Communism traditionally advocates for a radical, often violent, revolution to overthrow the capitalist system
    .
  • Goal & Structure: Socialists aim for reduced inequality and a stronger safety net, sometimes within a capitalist framework. Communists aim for a completely classless, moneyless, and stateless society.
  • Income Distribution: In socialism, payment is often based on individual contribution, while communism aims for distribution based on need.
In Marxist theory, socialism is considered a necessary transitional stage toward the final goal of pure communism

"no country on earth has a purely communist or socialist government - it is all mixed capitalism"

That is a very astute observation. You’re right—the world exists on a
spectrum rather than in binary categories.
While some nations identify as socialist or are governed by communist parties (like China, Vietnam, Cuba, or Laos), they have all integrated varying degrees of market mechanisms, private property, or foreign investment to sustain their economies. Conversely, even the most "capitalist" nations, like the United States, utilize "socialist" features such as social security, public infrastructure, and government subsidies.
In modern economics, the debate has largely shifted from "Capitalism vs. Communism" to finding the most effective mix of state intervention and market freedom.
Are you looking at this from an economic efficiency perspective, or are you more interested in the political philosophy behind these hybrid systems?

4:00pm

Went to get dinner and now I'm just gonna stay here until it's time to go

70% of the time Hasan is right

70% of the time the point of the "joke" is that you don't know him

70% of the time you're supposed to yell back

It's not picking it up but they're playing alabama shakes

Persepolis was the book assigned to us freshman year of college - he didn't answer! wtf

And will it matter?

My kbps..went green again...

Nope, red.

Can't make up its mind.

Hot cocoa right now sounds so bomb.

But I need to chill. I'm pretty much out of food stamps already.

Could everything be worse? Of course.

Makes it hard to complain when you know how much worse it would be without the limited resources you have in walking distance - and that you can still walk at all.

But yeah, getting my period has been a nightmare scenario - I tend to spot in my sleep. I can layer my sweatpants and stuff. Just makes everything kind of worse.

Again, it's not like I don't care about this - but I got worked up when they simulated a war zone outside my apartment building.

I got worked up for Russia and Ukraine.

I got worked up for Israel and Palestine.

I got worked up for Sudan.

I got worked up for Venezuela.

I really started to falter when we were talking about Greenland.

And then I got evicted.

And now it's back to Iran.

And we never talk about Russia and Ukraine.

Today was the first time I remember any mention of Taiwan and China.

Or India and Pakistan.

And that was thanks to Hasan - who tends to think along the same lines as me - or vice versa.

He brings up a lot of the same points, plus some I don't say or agree with, but yeah.

It always goes on and on and on and we barely know what's up

Outside it's dark and stormy in one corner and bright in the other. Rainbow weather.

Some guy here gave me a weird look and it still feels like hey what the fuck. Whatever.

Wear an evil eye or something.

Sew one into your clothes.

Still think the sexiest thing someone can say is "I can't be bought"

I used to really like this song: you've got to hide your love away by the beatles

 welcomed to the curriculum

devastating betrayal if that was true

 5:21pm

Something nobody talks about

Feeling rushed everywhere you go

And needing to spend a few minutes in the bathroom

The longer you don't get a chance to have some time, the more you need some time to clear yourself out

Fact of life

And you know you don't want to be a burden to anybody, you know they look at you expecting a mess and they're just waiting for something bad to happen

They don't want you here every day

You can tell

And you'd love to just go home and go back to bed but that's been taken away from you

I need the cart , I can't carry everything on my back - and that would have hurt me even more. The suitcase is broken - I can fix it but I need special glue.

There are lights that go off when you spend a certain amount of time in the bathrooms at the shelter. I need to just sit on the toilet a while and let my body relax. Humans need to relax or the body gets fucked up.

How doesn't everyone know this? But it doesn't connect. Too many stronger horror stories dominate the collective imagination.
