Hello - this is a real email and I am a real person: Laura L. Gamari

I live between Burnside and Couch on 3rd Ave in downtown Portland. 

I send a lot of emails, I know. 

Keeping digital records and streaming online seem to be the only ways I have to defend myself.

I asked google: 

"how likely is it that I will die if forced into homelessness after being totally medically isolated for five solid years"

• Lack of Access to Care: Stable housing is crucial for managing health conditions, recovery from illness, and storing medications (e.g., insulin). Total isolation for five years implies a complete reliance on a structured care system; suddenly losing this support makes managing any health condition nearly impossible.
• Extreme Environmental Risks: Exposure to extreme weather (heat stroke, hypothermia), lack of proper nutrition, hygiene, and safe resting places makes it difficult to maintain health.
• Increased Mortality Rate: People experiencing homelessness have a mortality risk 3.5 to 4.2 times higher than housed individuals, and certain populations are up to 16 times more likely to die suddenly. The lack of a support network after long isolation would make this transition especially deadly.
• Primary Causes of Death: The leading causes of death among unhoused individuals are often preventable or treatable, including drug overdose, heart disease, and traffic-related injuries. The sudden loss of social and medical support increases exposure to these risks. 

The experience of homelessness is a severe public health crisis, and the scenario you described would place an individual in a uniquely perilous position, making the likelihood of premature mortality very high.

People still die of COVID on a weekly basis - between 70 and 100 for the past few months - and may spike in January/February again as has been the pattern for the past couple years. People have grown desensitized to death and seem to want to pretend this never happened. (https://data.who.int/dashboards/covid19/deaths)

The number of deaths are potentially severely under counted as well, with a possible 14.9 million more people just between 2020 and 2021.(https://www.who.int/news/item/05-05-2022-14.9-million-excess-deaths-were-associated-with-the-covid-19-pandemic-in-2020-and-2021) Portland also lost 27,000 residents between 2020 and 2023. (https://www.axios.com/local/portland/2024/03/25/multnomah-county-population-decline-continues-census) If everyone who would have voted progressively is suddenly missing, then the events of 2020 look even more like a war crime and gerrymandering. I believe the protests were infiltrated and the dissidents seem to largely be missing or silenced.

Again, I have been terrorized while medically isolated and under duress for the last five years. I have applied for disability assistance and am in limbo. I don't know if SNAP will get cut off at some point, which will lead to starvation. I was only able to pay for December internet and might lose access if I can't get donations to my gofundme (link: https://www.gofundme.com/f/please-help-stop-eviction-into-homelessness) and I have asked people to send money orders directly to the Erickson Fritz office if they are helping me pay rent (letting me pay online again through the Pilina portal would have been easier for everyone). 

I was forced to sign the agreement attached under duress - which was acknowledged by the Judge (Peterson) but they still did not approve my motion to dismiss with prejudice. I had to either accept the agreement or be evicted the next day. I had submitted a 3 hour 41 minute video into evidence, but they said most of it may not be relevant before even watching it and I felt I was not getting a fair trial. The ultimatum was to either accept the agreement though everyone must know it would be impossible for me to pay it, or be immediately evicted into potential death. This is wrong and not justice by any standard.

So far no one has sent me an email update about the rent situation. It has been made clear that I need communications via email since I don't leave the unit and every time I open the door (usually for groceries) I risk being harassed and provoked by the neighbor again. 

I have no other home and nowhere else to go. I have been gassed, my unit pounded on so hard it feels like I am being beaten up, made nauseous by some kind of weaponized sound system (it's not music), had the fire alarm for the whole building go off over 50 times for no reason, and psychologically hurt in ways that are hard to explain. I have PTSD but no other mental health issue. No amount of terrorism is going to make me leave. I am also a Humanist and find it strange that everything since 2020 has seemed like a theocratic real estate scam on a global scale. I think it is only a matter of time before COVID is understood as a global, planned, mass death event - it felt like religion stole science and strangled people with it while just making jokes - and leaders will be put on trial if they are still alive (so far it seems only Duterte (https://www.icc-cpi.int/philippines/duterte) has faced a trial, and other leaders have warrants but not for their role during COVID specifically). I need to say that the leaders and those who would kill for them should be held accountable - individual names and faces - and we should not continue to demonize entire populations, demographics, or countries. No one is calling for the Philippines to be shamed for Duterte's actions, and the response should be similar for places like Israel or America or Russia or China - whatever the case may be. I am also half genetically jewish (which I think is cool, thank you - it's cool to be anything really) and don't know how much that has factored into my life. My own biological family (the part that is not Jewish) was cruel to me about being Jewish when I was little. I grew up at Milton Hershey School (not with my family) where Christianity was preached on a daily basis. I never went to Temple or learned anything religiously Jewish - again, I am a lifelong Humanist. Apparently some people believe I should be forced to move to Israel which is wrong. Further, Portland, Oregon specifically is one of only a couple cities that have protections for non-believers (screenshot attached). To make the point clear: I have lived in Portland since 2012 and my current low income studio apartment since 2015. I should have been at home here and it is the only home I have ever really had outside of school. I have no other home to "go back" to. The Mayor's plans to put people in shelters, jails, or "send them home' has been an absolute threat to people like me. I support universal human rights and I am against genocide in all forms for all people. If everyone just copied the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as their personal policy, the world would be a better place for everyone now and into the future. 

Please remember Article 25 says: 

    "Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control. Motherhood and childhood are entitled to special care and assistance. All children, whether born in or out of wedlock, shall enjoy the same social protection."

Criteria for Genocide:

"Requirements for genocide involve committing specific acts (killing, serious harm, harsh living conditions, preventing births, forcibly transferring children) with the specific intent (*dolus specialis or "special intent") to destroy, in whole or in part, a protected national, ethnic, racial, or religious group, as defined by the 1948 UN Genocide Convention and interpreted by international courts."

I have asked for camera checks recently and my unit was attacked two days in a row. There are also cameras outside on 3rd ave that could have caught the people harassing me outside the building on a regular basis - they are not the unhoused, they are either being manipulated or are cops/actors trying to create reasons for the unhoused to be forced into shelters. It feels like people must be stuck in a cult.  I don't want to be used for political theater. You can't turn my home into anything and force me into debt bondage. I have tried everything to get an income while my body has been deteriorating - including making music https://socialorphananiarchy.bandcamp.com - and either no one cares or I am being blocked online. I stream a peaceful protest daily on twitch and twitch tracker (https://twitchtracker.com/thevoltaverse/streams) indicates that nothing was getting out to the public for at least a year. I made a new twitch and it still indicates I get no motion whatsoever (https://twitchtracker.com/socialorphananiarchy/streams). My 13 year old Reddit account was blocked as well. Even the most mediocre accounts would still be searchable. I have had a public blogspot since I was 15. It's like someone has been blocking me from existence. 

I have no other way to ask for help, do political and social commentary and critique, get my art out into the world, educate people, keep records and archives, or have a voice.

If no one will call it genocide, this has at least been a global act of social murder:  

Social murder describes premature, unnatural deaths caused by oppressive social, economic, or political conditions, rather than direct violence, with perpetrators (ruling classes/states) knowing the lethal consequences of their neglect or policies. Coined by Friedrich Engels, it highlights how systemic neglect by authorities, creating hazardous environments (like slums or austerity), effectively kills vulnerable populations, treating them as disposable. I will be turning 36 on December 25th and I have spent my entire 30s isolated in my apartment. Like the google research results explain, being evicted will likely kill me - whether by sickness, stalkers, or corruption.
